Indian students on F1 visa can leverage concurrent filing for EB5 investment and get EAD & AP within 4 months.
Indian students who are on F1 visa, pursuing their education in the States, or pursuing OPT, STEM or otherwise, have a leverage in pursuing EB5. They are eligible for concurrent filing which means that they will be able to get an EAD & AP combo card, within 4 months of investing US$ 800,000 under EB5 and filing their I-526E, along with I-765, I-131, & I-484, also known as concurrent filing in EB5.
Once the EAD card is issued, it is not compulsory for the student to switch to the new status, they may continue to stay on F1 visa, and switch at a later date. In either case, EAD & AP cards would stay handy, as they would be received within 4 months of pursuing an application under I-526E.
The ability of a student to get internships is multiple fold with an EAD card on hand.
Our experienced team can help you understand the concurrent filing process and maximize the benefits of your F1 to EB5 transition.
